I’ve installed Carrier, Trane, Goodman, Rheem, and now iAir. Here’s how iAir stacks up on the factors that matter to Florida contractors:
Build Quality
iAir: Scroll compressor, aluminum tube coils (standard), powder-coated steel cabinet. Good fit and finish for the price point. Not as heavy-gauge as Trane (nothing is), but on par with Goodman and Rheem.
Vs Carrier/Trane: Those brands use heavier cabinets and all-copper coils on premium tiers. You pay 40-60% more for that build. iAir is not in that class and doesn’t pretend to be.
