What is R-438A?
R-438A is a blend of R-32, R-125, R-134a, R-600, and R-601a designed as a direct replacement for R-22 in existing AC and refrigeration systems. Its unique formulation makes it compatible with mineral oil (MO) and alkylbenzene (AB) lubricants, allowing seamless retrofitting without system modifications. R-438A has the closest performance match to R-22 of all no-oil-change replacement refrigerants.
